FIR Registration : Contact District Legal Service Authority If Police Deny FIR Registration: High Court
Mumbai: Aggrieved person has to approach police station for FIR registration in cognizable offence. If SHO or TI or Sr PI do not register FIR then approach SP/DCP/Commissioner Of Police. After this step people can also approach District legal service authority to direct police to register FIR. Use this madras High court order in DLSA. After DLSA the person can approach JMFC under section CRPC 156(3).

99. (xvi) The aggrieved party can also approach the local Legal Services Authority and the Authority shall take immediate steps to ensure that an FIR is registered or CSR receipt issued to the complainant.
